Encouraged by her daughters who excelled in Ceramics at high school, Jennifer began potting around 1990. She started training at at Hornsby Tafe doing Certificate courses, then advanced to Northern Beaches Tafe at Brookvale 1995/97.
For years she produced wheel thrown Majolica ware, using beautifully rich terracotta clay, glazed in a white tin glaze then decorated to suit her constantly evolving ideas.
Three years ago she joined the Willoughby Art Centre where she was inspired to use the more durable Stoneware clay. Her most recent work is focused on the art of Raku firing along with using fine Porcelain clay with a beautiful pale green/blue Celadon glaze.
Her love of entertaining led her to make useful, great gift ideas, every day items, that are both lovely to hold and practical to use.
